Pepper Pike Pool & Outdoor Living

This Pepper Pike backyard was transformed into a private outdoor environment designed around entertaining, relaxation, and time spent around the pool.

The pool serves as the centerpiece of the landscape, with an integrated spa and a series of surrounding outdoor spaces that each provide a different experience. A pergola creates a shaded sitting area alongside the spa, while a sandstone terrace overlooking the pool incorporates a fire pit and provides a natural gathering place for evenings outdoors.

Privacy was an important part of the design. Architectural walls help define and screen the outdoor living areas, while masonry on the walls and outdoor kitchen was carefully selected to complement the architecture of the home. This repetition of materials helps the new landscape feel connected to the residence rather than added to it.

Low-maintenance plantings soften the stonework and provide changing color, texture, and interest throughout the seasons. Landscape lighting extends the use of the property into the evening while highlighting the architecture, plantings, and outdoor spaces.

The result is a backyard that feels private, comfortable, and cohesive—a series of spaces designed not simply around a pool, but around how the homeowners live and entertain outdoors.
