This Chagrin Falls property was designed around our clients’ genuine passion for gardening and outdoor living. The goal was to transform the property into a series of thoughtfully connected spaces that feel both highly functional and deeply personal.

More than twenty raised garden beds were designed and organized around the greenhouse, creating an extensive working garden with clear circulation and a strong connection between the growing spaces and the surrounding landscape. Beyond the gardens, an outdoor kitchen and ipe deck provide inviting areas for cooking, entertaining, and relaxing.

One of the most distinctive features of the landscape is the custom “tabby” paving—a textured material inspired by traditional Southern landscapes that brings an unexpected touch of New Orleans character to Northeast Ohio. Handcrafted copper landscape lighting adds another layer of detail, giving the gardens warmth and character after sunset.

Throughout the property, the design focuses on creating meaningful connections between the gardens, entertaining areas, architecture, and surrounding landscape rather than treating each as an individual feature.

The result is a highly personal outdoor environment that reflects the owners’ love of gardening and outdoor living while feeling naturally connected to their Chagrin Falls home.
